From the national team to the driver’s seat.

Behind the founder is a background as an elite athlete, leader and business developer. Hans was on the Swedish national speed skating team 1987–1994, competed in the World Cup and took part in two Winter Olympics — Albertville 1992 and Lillehammer 1994.

After his athletic career came more than 20 years in the travel, hotel and hospitality industry, with roles at Air Nordic/Swe Aviation, Viking Line, Scandic Hotels and Tallink Silja among others. Sales, leadership, hotel operations, and business and destination development — from international sales and major client agreements to the role of hotel manager.

The common thread through both sport and working life has been the drive to develop, build relationships and get people working toward a shared goal. Marie, Hans’ wife, shares the background — also active in speed skating, with a career in the same industry. Those are the experiences we bring into Bergslagsbuss today.

The dog is rarely far away — the family’s four-legged member is always happy to come along on a walk.
